The world is a happening place. Every now and then, we read about some pacts, some deals, some decisions, some acts, some injustices we want to comment on. Gen - Y Speaks is just the place for the younger generation to voice it's opinions, be it against ANYONE, ANYTHING, no restrictions. So what are you waitin' for ? Pop up your mailbox, and scrap me your views. I'll punctuate them, edit them, and post them here with the appropriate acknowledgments. Happy voicing !

Seasons Greetings
New Year is a time for resolutions. I've made one. It is to study harder....ha, that's a good one. Don't see that lasting for more than a day. But in that one day, I hope to figure out how to set the course for the entire year. And that is the magical usefulness of a useless resolution. So I do encourage new years resolutions, as farfetchedly blah they are....Alrighty, go enjoy the little time that has been mustered up by God for you to enjoy....

Reflections
Thou dirge of the dying year,
To which this closing night
Will be the dome of a vast sepulchre,
Vaulted with all thy congregated might
Sincerely hoping that none of you reads Shelley, trust me, you don't want to.....well..uh..yes..it's a beauty..but as if we've got our plates empty.
Moving on, as we travel another 365 days, I just happened to look back to judge the road. It's been more than a rocky terrain, more of the place where the Furious Five practice, hope you've watched Kung-Fu Panda, that was an oasis in a desert. Anyway, coming back to lookin' back, the going's been tough, there've been countless wounds, and deeper than ever.
The journey began on a happy note, I remember Sensex zoomed the first day, but since then, the trends have been bearish. Beginning in US, which had had more development than it could digest, spread faster than smell of shit. Many banks went outta business, and jobs were cut at phenomenal rates. You could tweak Metternich's statement, 'When US sneezes, the entire world catches cold'.......Than began Credit Crunch or Liquidity Crisis or the greatest economic poo after the Great Depression.
Things were no better at personal level. Depression was not confined to the economic platform. Trust me, we've seen better days, and loads better than this. Gloom's all over and life's on an edge. For all you know, today might've been your last day in office. God's cruel. All we had to cheer ourselves were oil prices, but the effect was reduced, thanks to Dollar strengthening against Rupee, a rise of 13 rupees, if I'm not mistaken, and I scarcely am, barring exams. It was panic, fear, and terror.
Yeah, terror....how could one forget. The outrageous attack on Mumbai. Well, the effects were quite the opposite....the slackening hold of the unity string across the country was taut again. Thackerey with his 'Marathi Manoos' was told to lick dust by the Mumbaikars. This guy had a heaven of an year. It was nice to see US jumping in for peacekeeping. With it's aid, India might just be able to set Paks right.
There was yet another terror, not on a large scale though, but I'd been trying and trying and you've got no idea how hard I was trying, screwing up BSNL, Rapidshare, WinRAR, Windows, Graphics Card, Sound Card, Splitters, Joiners, Archivers, Extensions, CDs, Orkut, People, Download Managers, Electricity, and my exams that I managed to set it right today. Actually I had been having problems with a game, Harry Potter and the Quidditch World Cup, to be frank.
Now I know you're all drooling and what not, but look at the brighter side. We've had a bad phase, and next year can't be worse, not unless US goes bankrupt, the odds of which are lesser than that of Mayawati being fair and transparent. We'd had the dark, it's time for dawn.'If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?' Call it hangovers of exams, and it's Ta Ta for now, wishing all the non-existing regular blog readers a hopefully very happy Christmas and an equally successful and glorious New Year.

Can't fix...can''t replace
Some people say that don't take things to your heart. They tell you to take it easy, and let it go. And I pretty much too think, that letting it go is after all what is best, of course with the lesson well gripped. But really, how do you let go of something that you feel really bad over that you did. I think the best way is to understand that we people are too insignificant. The things that happen in the days of our lives are of a transitory nature, and it all really melts down to 'what is going to happen, shall happen.....but you sure as hell can srcipt your own little world too'
Now where does the heavily guilty part fit into ? I don't know. I guess sometimes, it's best to think that stuff happens for a reason. Guilt for doing something wrong isn't required, it holds you back...learning from that shit-hole expereience is, on the other hand, quite desirable, and very much useful. I mean, son, you're not gonna be able to go back in time and freaking make it right again, but you might as well not look back at it and feel pathetic either. Think of it as a cab ride, pay for the heapy-mistake-ride with your inexpereince-money, lose it and give it to the fate-driver, and keep the lesson-change for yourself.

The Clouds Depart....
Now to all those who've been a little back on times, India did a miracle, no, Abhinav Bindra did a miracle. We got our gold, finally, something that was eluding us as the two poles of a magnet. ARE YOU LISTENING, PEOPLE, WE GOT OUR OLYMPICS GOLD !! Abhinav Bindra did that, no thanks to Indian Government for sure. Had he been dependent on 'Sarkari Facilities', he'd probably faced the same fate as Monika Devi. Poor lady, an Olympic Entry is every athlete's dream, and politicking made sure it remained just that.
Enough of sports, I've got another good thing for the business-conscious guys, the Sensex has finally abandoned the downward trend. The rise from 13,000 to 15,500 hopefully indicates a shining future. Not to mention the crude oil prices falling, from $ 140 something to under $120. Hopefully, this means ceasefire from the inflation gods.....
So, folks, I think you'll be busy preparing for the forthcoming exams, which've no doubt caused excessive functioning in your adrenaline glands [I've become quite used to using that term].
Surely, they've escaped from hell, just like HellBoy, depriving poor kids of leisure time. Well, what can we do ?
Just keep an eye on India's Olympic Haul, which most likely is going to remain stable for the next 13 days, and hope Sensex does not.
So, it's Ta Da for now, hopefully I'll yield to your desperate cries for another piece of wisdom [Note that it's 'Hopefully' for some reason].

Gen - Y, does it rhyme with Gen - Music ?
Now that I return with a newfound reputation of a lyricist, a composer, I'd admit that I'm a little astonished with myself. Well, that's for some other time, now I take pleasure in welcoming Mystery to our blog, with the meaning of her posts being another mystery. Well, well, I'm not gonna do any Sherlock Holmes-ing here.
Seeing as every post in this blog attempts to beat the other in the level of idioticy, I thought I'd as well add mine too. And the lack of a thunderous applause, let alone a standing ovation, it does tend to hit a dent in your heart. But, that's what Gen - Y stands for, braving all those dents, blah blah blah. I suggest you go for some coffee now, and add a pillow to your table, just in case, you know ! When did precautions hurt somebody ?
Well, now music...umm....the connection, no, that won't do, the flyover, the track, no no...That's not fitting..Maybe 'The bridge between earth and heaven, the language of souls' [?]
The month passes rather eventfully, with one or two competitions coming up, and yeah ! That reminds me, we have EXAMS ! Now that's the height of stupidity, penning this thing, but seeing as it has become the central theme of the blog, I might join in as well.
Exams - the monsters, wish I could have Beowulf slaying it, or Harry 'Avada-Kedavra-ing' it, but that's too much of fantasy, so we'd rather forget about it. I think unlike me, you still have some work to do, so off you go. Cheers....

This is Bull....what part
..it could be the shit part..Shouts out to my fans all over the world. Hopefully you've not been craving too much for this anti-dote of stress. That's referring to my sea-ly posts. Well anyways, so I'd also like to welcome this new introduction into the blog, which is more than just a competent writer, expressing the most unexpressive of feelings ( do note they are unexpressive for a reason). Anyways, I do wish this new person luck, to help contribute to the great common cause of the authors of this blog, i.e. Unknown, as everyone is basically adding whatever remotely crappy thing knocks their parachuted minds. And here's my turn. This was a poem i came across, was written by a teenager suffering from cancer...And well, I kinda liked it i guess.
Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go round?
Or listened to the rain slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down. Don't dance so fast.
Time is short, the music won't last.
Do you run through each day, or do you fly?
When you ask How are you, do you hear the reply?
When the day is done, do you lie in your bed,
With the next hundred chores, running through your head?
You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast.
Time is short, the music won't last.
Ever told your child, we'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste, not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch and let a good friendship die?
Cause you never had time, to call and say "hi" ?
You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast.
Time is short, the music won't last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift thrown away.
Life is not a race, do take it slower,
Hear the music, before the song is over.
Something new...
Then suddenly something pops up in my mind. every other person wants to do something different...something new...which nobody else in the world has tried or even thought that it could be fun. But more than 90% of people come up with nothing great and end in some kind of trouble with I think you should all note, is new for them....and they don't notice it all. I mean i thought that it's a amazing thing...to try something new and then end up in some kind of trouble from which you have to come out ASAP.....and by the time you come out of the problem you are almost done with your free time. That's just like a miracle.... But there are some people who discourage other people from trying to go out of their way and try some thing new.....they say that they are being protective but they should think of one thing that they are not immortal and they cannot save the person from danger always 'cause on day they would be all alone facing the danger......I mean common it's fun to try new things and think of ways to get out of trouble but if you keep some body in your so called protective effectiveness or whatever they are not going to learn any thing and they would prove to be the dumbest jerks in the world......I mean it's good to be protective but being over protective is a feeling like you are in a jail or a child who is grounded and not even allowed to use his computer to talk to his friends and is forced to read crap books.....I think you all got my point.....please Stop being over-protective and don't poke in some bodies life just to protect him trust me it's really annoying....
Now you guys would be thinking..what's my point to write all this stuff...well, I told you in the beginning that I was getting bored...so this was my idea of "something new" grin.....
If you guys did understand something...then please...please write it in the comment 'cause I also don't know what this all means.... ;)

Decision Making.
I am finally here to write something which i feel like sharing with every body. We all out here think that we are better than others in making decisions because we have been doing great since we tried out and it's a hard job for others to do that.......in short we think that others are not "capable" of doing stuff which we can do and have been doing since a long time. I think this thought is completely ridiculous, I personally, have been a victim of this kind of behavior from elders and also from my own age mates. I think these people haven't considered one thing that sometimes, we do make wrong decisions 'cause as far as i know we are not the "Gods" on this earth and all the human beings are imperfect and it is likely that we would make mistakes. Still knowing that we tend to make mistakes and we should consider some other people too just in case to be cautions, we never do that. Well, this kind of behavior is also due to many reasons. Number one- so that people can get others attention. Number two- so that they can show off and tell people that they are so called "genius" in this world. Number three- people do that to show that others are not worthy enough to do that. They don't realize in doing that they are putting down a very good decision maker. Basically, letting another "good leader" to fall behind who doesn't have much importance, but are just there. For instance, well all the people (i hope) must have studied about the Russian Revolution and very less about Trotsky, the efficient commander of the Red Army, who was killed in Mexico by Stalin, just 'cause Stalin took him as a "threat" to his leadership. Trotsky was the only person in the whole Russia who could possibly control the actions of the Red Army and put them on a constructive path. And personally, I don't like when people dominate others just because they thinkt hat they are "cool" or much more capable of making decisions. Everybody needs a chance to prove themselves and what they are capable of.

The Daylight Calls....
Well, that’s not the daylight I meant. Now, with lots of ‘super hero-ish’ work on our plates to get this country back from the would-be record holder of Gold Crowns, Mayawati, not to mention our all-time favorite Lalu Prasad, envisaging India as a wide landscape……with a fair amount of cows and donkeys. Who doesn’t like family? Or ‘apni’ Badal Family, wannabe monarchs of Punjab? How does a beggar, after an year in power, accumulates wealth to the tune of crores? Beats me……
The point is that our future isn’t closer to being bright with such Youth Icons leading us. The task falls upon Gen –Y to cleanse the country of these usurpers of freedom, obstacles to progress. Ever paid a second thought to the line in our Civics books, ".....a system made BY and FOR the citizens....." Let's abandon our slumber, that path ahead is bright, the task is to occupy, or if required, snatch the steering. Let's wake up, for the daylight calls....
Pull my finger, I won't laugh
You see what I see ?
My fellow countrymen, comrades, fellow companions in this journey of the 'land of the blogs' (?), my friends, amigos, yata-yata....all that, I'm just trying to royally address your stupid low-ness. (In your face suckers...and hey, you can't deny your lowly-ness, as you are after all, reading this blog)...So I would like you to, just for a second, go to my last post, and look at the words "unappreciated" in the title. It is something quite evident in this blog itself. I will say no more about it. x.x Moving on, here's something interesting, that is if you haven't heard of it already, otherwise you'll know it's really nothing interesting - So we're all going to die pretty soon, 2012 to be precise. It's supposed to be this true Mayan calendar thing, where some great spiritual transformation is gonna take place, an apocalypse one may say. I mean what a bummer for us Gen Y people, I mean, this probably will mean our Gen ends before it sets trends (rhymed ^_^...I think I get worse each day). So that's why I thought this blog would be the correct place to tell ya all this. So I guess the question is are you ready for death. Please note that also in 2012, the 11th Indian five year plan will be launched, so we're probably looking ahead to a dooms-year no matter what. Anyways, the thing to be thought about is wouldn't we all have probably just started our lives in 2012, I mean, with all the crappy efforts it takes to get on your path to some sort of a repaying happiness, we won't have any time to actually revel in it. I guess God would have to make up for it by saving us all from the hell after death and granting eternal life and heaven no matter what. So it's practically a win-win situation, that is if you're as big of an optimistic nut as me. Well we all are nuts I guess, but I just proved it for me. Believing all this requires a rare moron-y level, which is darn hard to achieve in the first place, and then maintaining it with exceedingly non-reasonable arguments, day after day, is quite a challenge. You just hope I keep on with it, for many more days, in order to lift this blog to the divine status of "Holy Shit"
Hello friends...
Now that you’ve got the introduction or whatsoever that was supposed to mean from Arsh [Scroll down, if you haven’t], I think it would be better to write some meaningful stuff rather than jotting down all the phrases in your vocabulary to form sentences whom you’re forced to read thrice before you get what it meant. Hopefully we'll find people who can make this place at least readable.I mean ‘men and women, children who'll grow up to be men and women, old aged obsolete men and women’…Enough of that, we’re not fighting here, not at least for now…
Currently the promotional activities of the blog are underway, and we’re lookin’ for new authors who’ll hopefully write if nothing more, sensible stuff. Bet you [Oh spare The Lazy Yours Sincerely], if you belong to the group in question, are stickin’ your heads in books, flippin’ books after books, tryin’ to do a Trigonometry sum, only to find out that the statement was erroneous , scrawlin’ away Social Science answers, thanks to Self Tutor, Geo has never been so easy [God Bless S.Chand]…..
That’s enough of introduction for today, I think you’re bangin’ your head on the table wondering why he hell did you open this stupid blog today…So am I, wondering why did I create it. Let’s ponder..So for now, B’bye…
P.S. If you're interested to become an author, find me here....Saturday, June 7, 2008
The Art of being un-appreciated
So, People of the wide world : men and women, children who'll grow up to be men and women, old aged obsolete men and women, so basically, all men and women. Alright, so we got how many, two ? Yeah two genders out here. Now if you are by any chance reading this, I suppose you belong to one of the two genders. {Please note : homosexuals and stuff, those people are still men and women, maybe a little incapacitated, but still, they were born as either men and women.} Now if you're a Man, you're basically either going to be, here goes : lazy, stupid, inferior, immature, non-emotional, slow, dull, oblivious, can't cook, can't do laundry, can't change or watch a baby, only want 1 thing from a woman,we freak when someone touches our remote,
on television, think of ourselves as better drivers, casually violent and rude, and increasingly angry. Now these aren't stereotypes, these are things that have been observed to be true amongst most men (d-uh)...Well, I'm calling out to the newer men, to the next gen, (rhymed ^_^), to not accept this, to defy the overwhelming odds, and reform the definition of men into funny, confident, successful , leaders and problem solvers...And all those nice things, you know. and ASAP, cause we're getting old, really quick. Take two, if you're a woman, then you're really stereotyped, like for real. You're supposed to be taking care of the house and the children, cleaning and cooking and blah and blah and blah. Well presently, women are not just that, they are as job-functional as anyone else, but still this stereotype is pressed. So my call out to the next newer women, to keep going like this, and sooner or later, I believe at the present rate, you folks are gonna be much better than us men folk. Tara....
And yes, this hopefully is the first post of many. Oh by the way, this blog was intended to be a voice raising political kinda thing, I say, lets do that now...now that I've introduced humanity anonymous....
